Abstract
The electrical furnace is a system that generates heat using electrical energy. By heating solid
materials below their melting points, it is possible to shape the items into the required forms.
Electric furnaces can be categorized as electric resistance furnaces, electric induction
furnaces, and many other types depending on how the electrical energy is converted into heat.
Electric furnaces are used in industries to braze, anneal, carburize, forge, galvanize, melt,
harden, enamel, and temper metals, including copper, steel, iron, and magnesium alloys. Due
to its simplicity in structure and design and ease of use, PID (Proportional + Integral +
Derivative) controllers are often used in industries for temperature control. The choosing of
values for the gain parameters is a challenging and time-consuming operation, whereas
controlling using PID controller. Large peak overshoot and settling time is a frequent feature
of PID controller responses
