Abstract

Conical tanks are often used in the process industries due to their design, which enhances drainage for solid mixes, slurries, and viscous liquids, which is highly important for enhancing the performance and efficiency of the process operation. For the purpose of designing an advanced level controller in this study, two conical tank non-interacting systems are taken into consideration. Numerous sectors, such as drainage for solid mixes, the food processing sector, industrialized chemical processing, etc., use the control of two conical tank non-interacting liquid level systems. The cone is a well-known system that displays nonlinearity due to the area's variation in proportion to height. The level management of two independent processes is a challenging operation due to their non-linear shape and constantly changing cross-section. Most process industries continue to use the traditional PID controls. The PID controller's fundamental issue is that it is challenging to adjust its settings for improved control performance
