Abstract
Electro-hydraulic servo actuator system is widely used in process industries due to their
strong power-to-weight ratio, stiffness response, high and good speed, and substantial
drive system The electro-Hydraulic actuator system's nonlinearities time-varying
features, and uncertainties have made it difficult to regulate the system precisely. The
best controller would be highly resistant to parameter fluctuations and result in improved
performances. This thesis work studies the position control of electrohydraulic actuator
system. In this thesis, Fractional order proportional integral Differential controller is
employed for the position control of the electrohydraulic actuator system. In the study,
the electrohydraulic servo actuator system is divided into different components, which
are the spool displacement, flapper valve, and electromagnetic torque motor
